Italian footwear brands enforce exceptionally rigorous raw material grading standards. Unlike synthetic sneakers, genuine leather exhibits natural grain variability, stretch anisotropy, and elasticity differentials across different cuts of the hide.
WIDEWAY established a dedicated Diadora leather inspection room where raw cowhides and split suedes are individually inspected under D65 standard daylight light booths:
